Misaki Doi is also a champion of Luxembourg Open. She won this tournament as her lone WTA title as a 92nd-ranked debutante in 2015, upsetting seeded opponents in Jelena Jankovic and Andrea Petkovic en route. That result helped the Japanese player post a career-best ranking of 30 the following season. Until the Asian swing, Doi held just three WTA main draw wins since the 2017 season. Playing as a wildcard in Hiroshima, she entered her third career final at her home tournament but was summarily defeated by compatriot Nao Hibino. Nonetheless, that run has guaranteed the 28-year-old’s fifth top 100 season finish.
