This is, in fact, the Argentinian’s career-best result on indoor hardcourt (12/12 on IH in career). Having got a big win over David Goffin and being the better player on hardcourt makes Ugo Humbert the favorite, but Guido Pella is enjoying his career-best season so far in 2019 and has done well across all surfaces in these ten months, which gives him the slight edge in the pair’s first-ever meeting.
