Alexandrova entered the title round of Linz while playing as a qualifier last year. Just weeks after posting her maiden WTA quarterfinal at Seoul, the then world no. 119 leaked just two sets across six matches before falling to Camila Giorgi. The 24-year-old returns to the Upper Austria event as the world no. 35.
