Cameron Norrie began his doubles campaign in Delray Beach on Thursday and raced to a dominant straight-set win over the American pair of Nathaniel Lammons and Jackson Withrow, 6-4 6-4. The left-handed Brit’s debut campaign in Delray Beach in 2018 ended in the first round, but he did well during his recent visit in 2020 by winning three matches as a qualifier before losing out to the talented Brandon Nakashima in the second round. Cameron Norrie had a mixed season in 2020 as he won 11 matches in the Battle of Brits during the tour suspension and made his way to the third round of the US Open and quarterfinal in St.Petersburg after the restart. However, he suffered way too many early exits on the main tour during the course of the season and finished the year with 26 wins from 46 outings.

JC Aragone suffered an injury in the early stages of the 2020 season, and he never seemed to recover from that as he struggled to make an impact on tour all year. Overall, he played 30 matches in 2020 (at all levels) and lost 17 of them. The 25-year-old American, who enjoyed his career-best season in 2018 by winning over 40 matches and two ITF titles, has been granted a wildcard entry into the main draw of ATP Delray Beach, where he will play his career’s first-ever main draw match on the main tour.
