Villarreal vs. Alaves – Prediction (25.10.2019)

Villarreal have lost five of their last six LaLiga games against Alaves (W1 D0 L5), one defeat more than in their previous 10 matches against them in the top-flight (W5 D1 L4). The last five H2H meetings have seen three total goals each, with both teams on the scoresheet in four of those five. This season alone, Alavés have won just one of six LL matches entered as an outsider (W1, D1, L4). The home side on the day has failed to register a first-half goal in the last four H2H meetings. Alaves have won 56.2% of their matches against Villarreal in LaLiga (9/16), their second-highest win percentage against sides they have faced at least 10 time in the competition (58.3% vs Las Palmas).

Villarreal have collected 14 or fewer La Liga (LL) points in the first nine weeks on just four occasions this decade.
