The 2018/19 Champions League runners-up have an exceptional record at home in the UEFA Europa League (UEL) group stage (W12, D2, L1), but have lost three of their seven European fixtures played at their new stadium. Still, this is a side that knows this competition well, after playing more UEL games in the tournament proper (48), and scoring more goals (78) than any other PL team.

LASK Linz Insights.

LASK Linz are making only their second appearance in the UEL group stage, but their previous campaign (2019/20) saw them top a tough group after winning four of their matches (D1, L1). However, they were eventually ousted in a 7-1 aggregate hammering by Manchester United, a result that will worry the Austrians even more after Tottenham’s 6-1 win over Man United earlier this month. Yet despite winning just one of their five UEL away fixtures last campaign, a 4-1 away victory over Sporting Lisbon in the UEL qualification final this season shows LASK carry a threat. Notably, that game produced over 1.5 first-half goals, as has been the case with LASK’s last three competitive away fixtures.
