Romania approach this critical Group F encounter knowing that a defeat would end their prospects of qualification. They’ve suffered only four losses in their last 25 international fixtures, with three of those defeats coming to nations lying inside the top-18 of FIFA’s rankings. They have achieved clean sheets in five of their last eight away though (including World Cup 2018 matches), while their past three wins have seen them lead inside 12 minutes.
