With this win, Novak Djokovic extended his winning streak in Vienna to six matches. It was an evenly contested match, and the Croatian saved all three breakpoints on his serve and converted two on the American’s serve (2/3) to secure the win. The top-ranked Croatian’s only previous outing on indoor hard courts this year came in St.Petersburg a couple of weeks ago, where he defeated the likes of Reilly Opelka and Milos Raonic before putting in a valiant effort against the in-form Andrey Rublev in the championship match.
