After a strong start to the season Millwall are now winless – and goalless – in three Championship matches (D2, L1), so it’s little surprise that five of their previous six games saw at least one team fail to score. Additionally, four of their last five games witnessed at least one goalless half. The ‘Lions’ have won just once at home across the previous five competitive matches (D2, L2), conceding before HT in all four that they failed to win. A good start would likely rectify that sorry streak though, as all four of Millwall’s competitive home matches that didn’t end in a draw this season (W2, L2), saw the winner on the day lead 1-0 at HT.

Cardiff Insights.

Cardiff City are in similar uninspiring form after winning just one of their last six matches (D3, L2), and trailing at HT ’to nil’ in all five that saw them fail to win. However they’re usually strong after the break, and have won the second half in six of their previous seven league fixtures, conceding just once after HT across that period. It’s worth noting then that the ‘Bluebirds’ have actually scored their last four Championship away goals in the second half too. Yet whilst Cardiff’s last two road trips saw both teams score, worryingly for the Welsh side is the fact they conceded the opener inside the first 30 minutes in both.
