Lukas Rosol (Czech) vs. Juan Ignacio Londero (Argentina) – Score prediction (14.10.2019)

Preview and players comparison.

While Lukas Rosol has won over 150 matches on indoor hardcourt and is easily the better player in these conditions, Juan Ignacio Londero is in the better physical condition and has played better on the main tour so far this season, which makes it difficult to pick a winner in this evenly-poised first-round clash.

Lukas Rosol delivered a couple of solid wins over Roman Safiullin and Nikola Milojevic to secure his berth in the main draw of ATP Moscow, 6-3 6-4 and 7-5 3-6 7-6, respectively. This is only the former world #26 Rosol’s second main draw appearance in ATP Tour events this year. The 34-year-old Czech’s debut campaign in Moscow back in 2011 ended in the first round but he managed to win at least one match here during his following four visits between 2012-2018, with the best result being a run to the quarterfinal in 2012. ATP Moscow is Lukas Rosol’s fourth consecutive outing on indoor hardcourt. He recently suffered back-to-back first-round exits from ATP St.Petersburg (as a qualifier) and Orleans challenger and made it to the quarterfinal in Mouilleron-Le-Captif challenger last week.

Juan Ignacio Londero was ranked outside top 100 and was competing on the Challenger circuits in the final few weeks of the 2018 season but he’s earned himself a direct entry into the main draw of ATP Moscow this time around. The reigning champion of ATP Cordoba, Juan Ignacio Londero recently snapped his three-match losing streak on tour by winning two qualifying matches in Shanghai Masters last week, where he took a set and put in a valiant effort against the former world #1 Andy Murray in the first round. Juan Ignacio Londero has certainly improved his performance on the outdoor hard court over the last nine months and he will now look to do the same on indoor hardcourt. He has gone 3-1 on the surface so far in his career with the last such match coming in an ITF event nearly three years ago.
