Overview.
Whilst Hull City are unbeaten in their last four league matches, three did end in a draw, and their last two home games finishing 2-2. In both of those clashes, they squandered leads and conceded in the last 15 minutes. Goals aren’t a problem though, as Grant McCann’s side have scored in ten of their last 11 Championship games.
However, the ‘Tigers’ have won just one of their home league fixtures this season, and last kept a clean sheet here back in March. Notably, in their previous six Championship home games they’ve conceded in the final half-hour, whereas in contrast, six of the last seven goals Hull have scored here arrived before half-time.
Sheffield Wednesday have impressed in both away matches since Garry Monk’s appointment, winning 2-0 and 4-1. Ten of their 15 league goals so far have come on the road, although so did five of their eight goals conceded. Seven of Wednesday’s last ten league wins came ‘to nil’, highlighting how important a shutout could be. Having said that, they’ve only earned one clean sheet in their last seven away in the league (W3, D2, L2), with the last two containing goals inside the opening ten minutes.
