Unbeaten Gent (W2, D3) have already secured progression to the UEFA Europa League (UEL) knockout stages, but can clinch first place with a victory against winless Oleksandriya here (D3, L2). At home, the Belgium outfit are on an impressive 15-game unbeaten streak (W13, D2 – in all competitions), but did see both teams score in seven of the wins across that period. Their attack has performed particularly well, scoring two or more goals on every occasion bar one, and netting an average of 2.8 goals per fixture.

Despite failing to win any game this group stage campaign, Oleksandriya have seen both teams score in four of their five matches, and have shown real spirit by coming back from behind to draw in all three stalemates they’ve registered. The Ukrainians conceded the opener before half-time in all five UEL fixtures, and have failed to net the first goal in their last eight competitive away games (D5, L3 – 90 minutes only). They have never won away in European competition (D3, L2), but have scored exactly one goal in 80% of those road trips.

Players to watch: Roman Yaremchuk scored last time out – he’s been Gent’s first goalscorer in the last four European games he’s got on the scoresheet. Kyrylo Kovalets netted a second-half brace at the weekend – his last six goals for Oleksandriya have come after half-time.

Stat attack: Gent’s last seven competitive victories involved a two-goal winning margin. Four of Oleksandriya’s last five away games featured over 10.5 corners. Four of Oleksandriya’s last five competitive defeats came ‘to nil’.
