With no draw in 24 matches stretching back to September 2017, the Czech Republic are in no mood for half measures. Amongst that group is a recent sequence of four Euro 2020 qualification (ECQ) victories in five, the last three of which saw the first or last goal take the form of a penalty for either side. Patrik Schick’s last two ECQ goals on home turf have been his team’s last of the day. Czech Republic are heavy favourites to win, after a 2-1 victory over England in their last ECQ match. That was also the third ECQ victory in succession to see the Czechs win the second-half with a clean sheet, and score exactly once beyond the 80th minute.

Five of the hosts’ last six ECQ home victories have yielded a 2-1 scoreline. Remarkably, the last four of those 2-1 wins have seen them recover from conceding first inside the opening 30 minutes. Both of Kosovo’s last two ECQ away games have produced over 4.5 total goals.

A victory for Kosovo would lift them into the automatic qualification zone, with just one more qualifier to play. Their ECQ form to date is impressive, with just one defeat from the opening six fixtures (W3, D2, L1). Three of those four matches won/lost saw both teams score inside the first half. Kosovo’s last away match saw Valon Berisha get a brace, against qualification Group A top-seeds England. Both goals each came inside the first five minutes of their respective halves. Each of Kosovo’s three prior ECQ away games have seen both sides celebrate goals, with Kosovo consistently opening the scoring inside the first 30 minutes across each qualification trip. Each of their last two ECQ away fixtures have also seen them score exactly twice in the second half of play.
