However, just two goals conceded (0.33 on average per match) in La Liga (LL) this term has helped extend Atlético’s unbeaten LL streak to 22 games (W13, D9) – their best ever, and the fourth-longest run in the tournament’s history. In fact, since Atlético’s games started being played behind closed doors in June, the Madrid outfit have won six of eight home league matches (W6, D2), despite leading at HT in only two of those victories. That coupled with the 91.67% H2H win-rate they’ve registered over opponents Cádiz in the Spanish top flight at home, makes them comfortable favourites here.

However, their opponents will be tough to break down after going unbeaten in five straight LL matches – their best top-flight run since March 1992. That success has been down to grinding out results and making their shots matter, and Cádiz’s 2-0 win at Eibar last time out was not just their seventh game from eight this season that featured under 2.5 goals, but they also became the only LL side this term to score two first-half goals from just two shots on target. That result also continued an exceptional run which has seen the LL newcomers win all four away games ‘to nil’ – three of which they led at HT – despite starting all as outsiders.
