Angers’ 1-0 loss to Brest in their last Ligue 1 (L1) home outing ended a run of six straight home fixtures without a loss in the top-flight (W4, D2). However, ‘Les Scoïstes’ can take confidence from the fact that they have failed to find the net in just two of their last 21 L1 home fixtures. Angers’ current top league scorer, Rachid Alioui, has scored each of his four L1 goals after the hour mark. Impressively, Angers’ last five L1 home wins have been achieved with a -1 handicap or more, and ten of their last 12 league wins here have been accompanied by a clean sheet. Whilst the last two H2Hs here have both been scoring draws, Angers will look to build on their great historical competitive H2H home record against ‘Le Racing’ (W10, D10, L4). Furthermore, Angers have not lost a home competitive clash against Strasbourg since 1993 (W2, D3 thereafter).
